The 5 Methods of Process Mapping (Video)

Brad Fagan

When it comes to process mapping, one size doesn't necsessarily fit all. That's because depending on the size of your company and how established your current processes are already, you might require a different approach.

Luckily, we have selected five different process mapping methodologies for you and assessed which rung of the corporate ladder you should be using each method on.

The five process mapping methods are:

  1. Through individual staff/small group interviews
  2. Through facilitated discovery workshops
  3. Through analysis of existing documentation
  4. Through business analysis design
  5. Through import of existing process maps

In some cases, you may even need to use more than one method to get the job done. Whichever method you use, make sure you take a look at our other process mapping articles (there's a list below) for a more in-depth analysis so you can pick the right process mapping method for you.
