One of the questions that we are asked frequently at Triaster is, is there a Triaster User Group? This is a key question for anyone evaluating a BPM supplier.
We are very pleased to be able to say yes.
Triaster User Group Aims
The aims of the User Group are - in the words of Linda Spinks, University of Cambridge, Chairperson, since 2007 – “to be an independent group representing the needs of its members by establishing and recommending best practices and providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and experience. People attending find a welcoming group, where everyone's opinion is welcomed and where a real difference can be made to the direction of the Triaster platform, both software and services.”
All Triaster customers are automatically members of the Triaster User group and are encouraged to attend twice yearly user group meetings, hosted at customer sites around the UK. At each meeting the host presents their Triaster Process Library and talks through their objectives for the system and the benefit that they have achieved. A couple of workshops are also held to discuss areas of interest to the attendees, for example: capturing return on investment, what level should be mapped to?
These discussions are written up and shared in the Triaster Connector newsletter, so that everyone can benefit. They are also shared on the Triaster website here.
Impact on Triaster Software Development
All Triaster customers are also invited to vote on the priority of Triaster software feature development (annual Feature Voting) and attend Customer Focus Days. Both of these events enable customers to influence Triaster’s software development. At Customer Focus Days features in development are demonstrated and workshopped and plans for features to be developed are discussed. The results of both are reported on the Connector newsletter.
Is there a User Group Forum?
There is a User Group forum, which all Triaster customers can join to share thoughts, ideas, approaches and challenges. All User Group minutes and presentations from all meetings are also accessible to all customers, along with the Triaster Product Roadmap.
What are the benefits?
If you are looking at BPM systems and suppliers it is worth asking about their User Group. Many of the regular attendees of Triaster User Group meetings and events over the years have found invaluable support from fellow members. Meeting with like-minded professionals facing similar challenges is extremely beneficial. Both in sharing and solving problems and in achieving the support for your challenges, that may be lacking in your own organisation.
We hope that you have found this helpful and if you would like to read the T.U.G. (Triaster User Group) news and other updates mentioned above, in the Connector, please register here:
